Fertility Injection Support Is Here: Nurse by the Shore x Dandi Fertility
If you’ve ever gone through fertility treatment, or even just looked at the medication instructions, you know there can be a big difference between being told what to do and actually feeling confident doing it at home.
Mixing medications. Drawing up the right dose. Figuring out injection sites. Keeping track of timing. And then actually giving yourself (or having your partner give you) the injection.
It can be a lot.
That’s why I’m excited to share that I’m now working with Dandi Fertility to provide fertility injection support.
A Little Full-Circle Moment
Before starting Nurse by the Shore, I worked in reproductive endocrinology and fertility nursing. Fertility care has always been an area of nursing that I’ve loved, and being able to bring that experience back into the work I’m doing now feels like a natural extension of Nurse by the Shore.
My goal has always been to make healthcare feel a little more personal, approachable, and supportive, especially during the moments that happen outside of the doctor’s office.
Fertility injections are a perfect example of that.
What Is Dandi Fertility?
Dandi Fertility helps bridge the gap between your fertility clinic and actually managing treatment at home.
Through Dandi, patients can access fertility nurses for at-home and virtual injection support, helping make medication administration feel less intimidating and more manageable.
Your fertility clinic remains in charge of your treatment plan, medications, dosing, and medical decisions. Injection support is an additional layer of hands-on guidance to help you carry out that plan confidently at home.
What Can Fertility Injection Support Help With?
Depending on your needs and Dandi's available services, fertility injection support may include help with things like:
Understanding your injection supplies and medications
Injection preparation and technique
Medication mixing and reconstitution
Injection-site guidance
Learning how to administer your own medication
Helping a partner feel more comfortable giving injections
Virtual injection guidance
In-home injection support where available
And sometimes, what you really need is simply a nurse there with you for that first injection so it doesn't feel quite so overwhelming.
Why I'm Bringing This to Nurse by the Shore
Nurse by the Shore has never been about replacing your physicians or specialists. It's about helping fill some of the gaps that can exist between appointments.
Fertility treatment can involve a lot of care at home, and patients deserve support there, too.
Working with Dandi allows me to bring fertility nursing back into my work while connecting patients with an established platform specifically designed for fertility injection support.
And I love that it fits into what Nurse by the Shore is becoming: a place where you can get knowledgeable, nurse-guided support through different seasons of your health.
Need Fertility Injection Support?
If you're preparing for an IUI, IVF cycle, egg freezing, or another fertility treatment involving injectable medications, you don't necessarily have to figure out the injection part alone.
You can learn more about fertility injection support and request services through Dandi Fertility.
I'm so excited to add this resource to Nurse by the Shore and even more excited to be stepping back into a little piece of fertility nursing again.
Fertility injection support does not replace the care or instructions provided by your fertility clinic or prescribing provider. Medication selection, dosing, treatment protocols, and changes to your treatment plan should always be directed by your fertility care team.
