Medical Weight Loss & Metabolic Health Done Differently at Nurse by the Shore
If you've been struggling to lose weight, feeling frustrated by constant food cravings, or noticing that your metabolism doesn't seem to respond the way it used to, you're not alone.
At Nurse by the Shore, I believe successful weight management is about so much more than the number on the scale. It's about improving your metabolic health, supporting your long-term wellness, and helping you feel like yourself again.
That's why I offer physician-directed medical weight management with personalized RN support every step of the way.
Whether your goal is weight loss, improving energy, supporting insulin resistance, or building healthier habits, you'll receive individualized care designed around you, not a one-size-fits-all program.
My Philosophy
There isn't a magic injection.
Semaglutide and tirzepatide are powerful tools, but medication alone isn't what creates lasting success.
My goal is to help you understand your body, build sustainable habits, and improve your health in a way that feels realistic for your lifestyle.
I believe education is just as important as the prescription.
Every client's journey is different, and your care should reflect that.
Semaglutide & Tirzepatide Options
Depending on your medical history and the physician's evaluation, you may be eligible for treatment with semaglutide or tirzepatide.
Both medications are administered once weekly and work by helping regulate appetite, improve feelings of fullness, and support metabolic health.
While they share many similarities, each medication works a little differently, and one may be a better fit than the other depending on your individual needs.
During your consultation, we'll discuss your health history, goals, previous weight loss attempts, and any questions you have before determining the most appropriate option.
More Than Weight Loss
Many people begin this journey hoping to lose weight, but they often discover additional benefits along the way.
Depending on the individual, improvements may include:
Reduced food noise
Better portion control
Improved metabolic health
More consistent energy
Increased confidence
Greater motivation to make healthy lifestyle choices
The goal isn't simply losing weight, it's creating healthier habits that support your long-term well-being.
Safety Is Never an Afterthought
At Nurse by the Shore, your safety comes first.
Medical weight management isn't about ordering medication online and hoping for the best. Every treatment plan begins with a comprehensive health review and physician evaluation to determine whether semaglutide or tirzepatide is appropriate for you.
If approved, your medication is prescribed specifically for you and you'll receive education on how to safely administer your injections, what to expect during treatment, and when to reach out with questions or concerns. Throughout your journey, you'll have ongoing follow-up, regular progress monitoring, and dose adjustments when appropriate, not just a prescription.
My goal is to help you feel informed, supported, and confident every step of the way.
Why Nurse by the Shore Is Different

Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need a consultation?
Yes. Every client begins with a complimentary nurse consultation where we'll discuss your health history, goals, and answer any questions you may have about the program.
As part of your initial evaluation, we'll also need your current weight and a few basic vital signs. If we meet in person or during a mobile appointment, I'll obtain these for you. If you're completing your consultation virtually, I'll guide you through submitting your weight and vital signs from home.
Every client also completes a required physician consultation, which is included in the cost of the program. The physician reviews your medical history and determines whether semaglutide or tirzepatide is appropriate and safe for you. If approved, your prescription is issued and we'll guide you through your next steps.
Do you prescribe the medications?
Medical treatment is physician-directed. If appropriate, you'll complete a physician evaluation before treatment is prescribed.
Which medication is better?
There isn't one medication that's best for everyone. Semaglutide and tirzepatide each have advantages, and the right choice depends on your individual health history, goals, and physician recommendations.
Do you only treat women?
While many of my clients are women, medical weight management services are available for both women and men.
Where are appointments available?
Appointments are available through mobile visits throughout Southern Ocean County and every Thursday at my office inside The Therapy Hub in Manahawkin.
